July 23rd 2013 : My Way is in the port of Hafnarfjordur (Iceland)

Hans Strægaard Duty Officer Joint Arctic Command (MRCC Nuuk) contacted us to announce that My Way had been retrieved by a fishing boat, the Polar Nanoq (English-Greenland term for Polar bear), which took care of it. What a coincidence ! It is now to stay in the port of Hafnarfjordur, (Iceland) for enjoying a well deserved rest after eleven month of drifting across the water south to Greenland.

- Nuuk is the capital of Greenland and the largest city on the continent housing parliament and government, as well as a cinema, a nautical sports centre, multiple shops and restaurants, a hospital and an airport. The city was renamed Nuuk by the Greenland Government in 1979.
The word Nuuk means the "point", the "peninsula" or the "arm out to sea". Wikipedia

A unique and incredible project; Jules Verne would have enjoyed this adventure for a noble cause following-up on kids in school. The objective of this expedition is to bring awareness to the world about the danger to which the polar bear is exposed due to global warming and the melting of the ice shelf, his only habitat. Saving the polar bear also means saving our kids' future.
